Frequently Asked Questions

How do I purchase a piece?

I currently accept PayPal and can work through Facebook Marketplace.  Please  use the 'contact me' or email me at ArtByStephiroth@gmail.com to request more information about a particular piece, or even message me directly on my facebook page!  I am happy to hold pieces for up to 2 weeks, after which the 'reserved' label will be removed from the site.  Once payment has been received the piece will be wrapped in protective layers and shipped via FedEx.  If the destination is to somewhere in the DC/NoVA area I am happy to drop it off for safety of the piece.

How do I commission a piece?

Whether you have a photo of some particularly amazing food you ate, or want a high impact piece for your wall, I'm happy to collaborate on creating something new and unique.  Please  use the 'contact me' form on the left or email me at ArtByStephiroth@gmail.com with your ideas and I will be happy to work with you.

What is the process of drying/curing?

Watercolor pieces are dry and ready within 1-2 days of creation, after which they will be pressed for another 1-2 days to ensure the work is completely flat.
My acrylic abstracts, however, take 3-4 weeks to cure (for all the paint to dry on all levels), then need to be sealed.  Depending on the piece, I have used either varnish or resin to seal the painting after the curing process is completed.  Resin is harder and more attractive, but also difficult to work with and expensive.  Varnish is thinner and not as perfectly smooth as a well-resined piece is, but the cost is much cheaper.  Once sealed the piece has to sit another 1-2 weeks until the final touches are put on that make it ready for the wall.
